Description
This was one of the images I had scouted and thought about before ever setting up the camera. Bandon Beach has so many possible compositions that it can almost be overwhelming, but this scene had stayed in my mind: the sea stack, the open beach, the incoming tide, and the possibility of sunset light reflecting across the wet sand.
I was lucky enough to have the light come together. The sun dropped behind the massive sea stack, filling the sky with warm golden color while the clouds and water faded into deeper blues farther from the light. As the waves rushed in toward me, the reflection stretched across the sand, tying the whole scene together and giving the image its movement and depth.
