Nestled deep within the rugged terrain of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, the charming ghost town of Kennecott is embraced by a breathtaking natural spectacle of majestic mountains, meandering rivers, and pristine glaciers, all enveloped in untamed wilderness beauty. Towering above at a staggering 6,938 feet, Bonanza Mountain stands as a monumental presence.
During a particularly surreal morning, I had the privilege of capturing this awe-inspiring photograph. The sun had just made its ascent above the mountain range to the rear, casting its gentle, early light upon the right flank of the mountain. Wispy clouds danced along the steep cliffs on both sides, while the grass and shrubs on the mountainside seemed to come alive with an ethereal glow.
