Description
As we explored New River Gorge National Park, I came across Dunloup Creek Falls. It was a day with intermittent rain, and the soft light and gentle rain made the green moss on the rocks come alive. I spent a good amount of time hiking around the banks of the river, exploring several compositions until I found this one.
The river rushing through the frame is anchored by a long dead log and piles of fallen leaves. Directly across, streams of water drip through the rocks, and the green moss glows vibrantly. I waited patiently until a tiny amount of sunlight broke through the clouds, adding just a bit of contrast to the scene, enhancing its natural beauty.
