Description
Hiking onto the Root Glacier in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park was undoubtedly the pinnacle of our Alaskan adventure. Capturing the glacier’s grandeur while standing upon it posed a unique challenge, worsened by overcast skies and drizzling rain. Undeterred, I persevered, resulting in this striking composition.
This image is a culmination of seven distinct photos, skillfully blended to emphasize the glacier’s diverse layers and captivating textures. Within, you’ll discover a myriad of intriguing leading lines, distinctive shapes, and, of course, the unmistakable deep blue hue that characterizes these colossal ice formations.
