Description
After walking up and down Bandon Beach at sunset looking for compositions, I was rewarded for staying late into the evening. As the light faded, the clouds above the beach suddenly lit up in deep shades of red, pink, and orange, reflecting across the wet sand below.
The massive sea stacks give this scene its sense of scale, separating the glowing sky from the Pacific Ocean beyond. It was one of those moments where the beach became almost mirror-like, pulling the color of the sky into the foreground and turning a quiet evening on the Oregon Coast into something far more dramatic.
