Description
The wonderful thing about the rainforest in the Pacific Northwest is the constantly changing weather. As I was hiking up Sweet Creek Falls, the rain would come and go, and occasionally, the sun would briefly break through. In this moment, I was able to compose a photo with the river rushing down a narrow valley, illuminated by the sun just upstream. The yellow glow is wonderfully offset by the deep greens of the ferns and moss lower in the picture.
