Description
The Valley of Fire in Nevada is a small park that never ceases to amaze me. During a trip to Las Vegas, I found myself with some time before a late-night flight, so I decided to visit this stunning location once again. It was an unusual day in the city, with persistent rain, but I hoped that it might lead to a spectacular sunset.
I headed to the Fire Canyon area and set up my camera about 30 minutes before sunset. As the sun began to set, its low angle cast a wonderfully warm light over the foreground rocks and the clouds above. The vibrant layers of rock, combined with the dramatic clouds, created a breathtaking scene.
I captured this image just as the sun began to sink toward the horizon, illuminating the landscape with rich, golden hues. It was a perfect moment in a park that I never get tired of visiting.
