Description
Navajo Mountain, towering at 10,388 feet, lies just outside Page, Arizona. In winter, it’s cloaked in a blanket of snow. Finding the perfect vantage point to capture this majestic scene took some time, as the area offers many spectacular views. I finally decided on a spot atop a nearby mountain on our last night in Page.
I framed Navajo Mountain at the center of my shot, with distant rain clouds casting showers of rain and snow. The foreground featured intriguing rock formations, and as the sun set, the play of light and shadows from the shifting clouds added depth and drama. This composite image is a blend of the most striking moments from sunset, creating a single, surreal photograph.
