Description
I knew I was not going to have much time with good light on this evening. The sky had been mostly filled with clouds all day, but as the sun dropped lower over the Pacific Ocean, a small break opened near the horizon.
For a few brief moments, everything came together. The sun created a starburst between the sea stacks and sent its warm light back across the beach toward the camera. The incoming tide adds a sense of motion and power to the scene, while the sea stacks catch the last glowing light of the day. It was one of those short-lived moments on the Oregon Coast where the light turns ordinary conditions into something special.
