Description
On a wide prairie just beyond the far side of Devils Tower, I waited for the last light of the day. As the sun slipped toward the horizon, it cast a brilliant golden glow across the summit of the monolith—lighting up its rugged columns like a beacon. Above, the clouds turned soft pink and lavender, glowing against the pale evening sky.
Then, as if on cue, a full moon rose directly above the tower. Perfectly framed, it added a surreal and quiet beauty to the moment. The surrounding landscape of rolling grass and scattered pines stood in stillness, letting the interplay of light, stone, and sky take center stage. It was a fleeting convergence of earth and sky that made the sacred tower feel even more timeless.
