Description
After trekking along the Goosenecks trail in Capitol Reef, I sought the perfect subject to capture at sunset. The vast canyons and radiant red rocks were as stunning as they were imposing, presenting a considerable challenge to pinpoint just one focal point.
Eventually, I encountered a lone juniper tree, elegantly leaning as if reaching toward the distant canyons. Positioned on the left center of my frame, it provided a balanced composition, allowing ample space to showcase the majestic canyons and capture the sunstar just as it dipped behind the mountains. The sky, mostly cloudy, opened just enough to let the entire horizon come alive with deep, vibrant colors.
