Description
The 4,200 acres of Babcock State Park are some of the most iconic in all of West Virginia. Tucked away deep in the Appalachian Mountains, this is a must-stop for anyone in the area. I planned our visit to coincide with the peak of fall foliage, and I could not have timed it any better.
Here we have Glade Creek Grist Mill, still a fully functional mill to this day, surrounded by stunning fall colors and a rushing river. I captured this photo while standing in the middle of the river in the pouring rain. While the rain and clouds mean we don’t have any direct light, the rain and softness add to the color and vibrance of the entire scene. I honestly could not have asked for more.
