Description
Twelve miles southwest of Seward, Alaska, you’ll discover the stunning Bear Glacier and the Bear Glacier Lagoon. This massive glacier gives birth to colossal icebergs, some as large as buildings, gracefully floating within the lagoon.
In this photograph, my aim was to capture the essence of this Alaskan wonderland. The tranquil ocean waters seamlessly blend into the verdant tapestry of towering ferns, ascending the slopes of a gentle mountain. Beyond them, a majestic array of mountain peaks unfolds, with the imposing Bear Glacier perched atop the nearest summit, while another, even taller peak stands just behind. Overhead, wispy clouds sweep across the peaks, and the late afternoon sun bathes the landscape in a warm, enchanting glow.
