Description
The Oregon coastline is truly a special place, unlike anything else on this earth. Cape Kiwanda is a stunning beach and a wonderful example of how unique and special this area is.
The area features a long and wide sandy beach, rock formations out in the sea, and huge dunes and cliffs composed of sandstone. On this late afternoon, after exploring most of the area, we set up for sunset way out on the rocks by the tide pools. The tide was moving out, allowing us access to the area. I was lucky to capture the sun right as it was above Chief Kiawanda Rock. Moments after this capture, the sun dipped behind the rock and later the clouds, marking the last direct light we had.
This image is both a focus stack and an exposure stack, allowing the viewer to truly experience all the magnificent charm this area offers.
