Description
The Sundial, located in the Towers of the Virgin at Zion National Park’s west end, is an easily accessible landmark. With an elevation exceeding 7,500 feet and encircled by other striking peaks, this area is a breathtaking part of the park.
Zion’s weather is notoriously unpredictable, as illustrated by this moment. An hour earlier, the sky was densely overcast, with barely any light breaking through. Then, the clouds began to disperse, allowing the sun to emerge and bathe the landscape in a warm glow. This shot captures the snow-capped mountain as the final cloud drifts away, revealing the stunning stone beneath.
