Description
Windstone, also known as Fire Arch, is a small cave created through the erosion of sandstone over millions of years. Once the sun rises, the reflected light causes the inside of the cave to glow red and orange. While it’s not marked on many maps, it is a well-known location in the Valley of Fire State Park.
This unique place deserves to be protected. Sadly, there has been some damage to the cave recently, and I’m grateful to have seen it mostly intact. Capturing the vibrant, glowing interior of Windstone Arch highlights its delicate beauty and the need for preservation.
