Description
Sequoia National Park is renowned for its towering ancient trees, but it also showcases breathtaking landscapes. A climb of 350 granite steps takes you to the top of Moro Rock, a granite dome standing 6,725 feet high. This shot was taken at sunset, looking westward toward the foothills and the San Joaquin Valley. As the sun dipped below the mountains, its rays formed a brilliant sun star, illuminating the vibrant clouds. The haze and smoke from nearby forest fires add a unique atmosphere to the scene, casting a final glow as daylight fades.
