Description
It’s truly hard to believe they constructed this fort in the mid-1800s. Millions upon millions of bricks had to be shipped from the mainland to build this fort on a very small piece of land in the middle of the ocean. Camping on the island allows you the opportunity to explore the fort without any other people. Walking the long hallways in the late afternoon is exceptionally fun—the low sun comes through the openings and makes for a very dynamic scene.
