Description
Constructed long before California was a state and before the Civil War, Fort Point played a critical role in protecting the San Francisco Bay. The Golden Gate Bridge and the fort are some of the most photographed icons in America, so you must work extra hard to find something unique. I like to rely on the water to create something truly distinctive.
Here, like on so many nights, the fog was rolling in, but it had only covered half the bridge. As the sun was setting, the sky gained just enough color to make this a truly stunning and compelling image. This photo captures the historic essence of Fort Point, the architectural beauty of the Golden Gate Bridge, and the dynamic atmosphere of San Francisco.
