Description
As you hike into the Hall of Mosses, you are surrounded by towering evergreen giants, moss-laden maples, and green as far as the eye can see. It’s stunning to walk through, like nothing else we’ve seen in the lower 48 National Parks. However, from a photography standpoint, it’s very challenging. It’s busy, very busy, and looking up is sometimes the only way to really isolate a single subject.
Here we have a towering tree that is fully covered in moss. I’ve composed the image to show the glowing moss on the top third of the tree and the amazing sun star in the middle left of the frame. The image truly conveys the beauty and the grandeur of this magnificent place.
